Camping toilet kits real lifesavers for campers
sponsored links
A good camping toilet may be the real lifesaver for all if you're going on a camping trip anywhere but a well-developed camping ground. Many state and national parks have excellent toilet facilities for campers, but they may not be all that convenient to your campsite. And if you're going into more rugged camping conditions than a park, you may find yourself with toilet paper and flashlight in hand going into the woods to really "rough it." Don't let toilet facilities put a, uh, strain on your camping experience.
May camping and outdoor sports gear companies offer a wide variety of camping toilets. A good camping toilet may not be configured quite like the bathroom facilities you're used to at home, though many are very similar and few take much practice to get the hang of them. The portable toilet variety may look very much like a tot's potty training seat. (Although the one linked to there folds out from a briefcase sized object to a fully adult sized portable toilet stool.)
One unique model of camping toilet is the "Cleanwaste On-The-Go Backpack Toilet System," which is actually a very manageable backpack that contains a full-sized foldout portable toilet, privacy tent (with cross-ventilation system for fresh air), and 15 "waste kits" which consist of biodegradable bags and a biodegradable powder to treat waste products. The makers of this portable wonder even say the privacy tent can be used as a personal shower, though the shower device(s) are not included.
Don't let something like outdoor toilet facilities spoil your camping trip. Buy one of the camping toilet solutions listed above, or shop around for some of the many other useful systems available. Make your camping trip, whether at a park or out in the woods, a happy trip for everyone. And do your part to keep the environment cleaner and friendlier everywhere you camp!
